I got lots of knitting done this weekend, probably more than I deserved to do actually. I had a conference all day Saturday down in Charlotte, NC. And yes, I knit right through the whole thing, and I was sitting on the first row... so bad, I know.
I finished up my Sockapalooza socks, but they need a good blocking, so I'm going to wait on a photo until that's been done. I also finished the second sleeve for my shawl-collared pullover. Today I'm working on 28" of a seed stitch band for the collar, and then I'll be ready to seam that all up.
And there was a little swatchin' going on... Sunday I balled up a skein of the Classic Elite Lush, and swatched for the IK Leaf Cardigan. This yarn is great! Sooooo soft. (I feel like I say that about all the yarn I use!) My gauge was right on both for stitch and row count for each of the motifs using the recommended needles. Spooky, but I'll take it! You can click on the pic to see the pretty motifs a little bigger. I wasn't sure whether I'd like a sweater basically knit in reverse stockinette stitch, that stitch just looks like it's inside out to me. But it sure makes the cables and the leaf pop out, so I'll forge ahead. I did find this errata page for the pattern, so if anyone else is thinking of doing this one, make sure you check it out.

I love the shawl collared pullovers (I think I've seen more than one...). Can't wait to see yours. The swatch looks great, love the leafy :)

Beware of Lush! I used it recently for a small project, and it SHEDS. Sorry to be a bearer of bad news, but:

I haven't yet had the courage to knit at a conference. I will soon. I LOVE Classic Elite yarns. My husband is wearing his alpaca sweater to death. The yarns are uniformly high quality, and while Lush is well named, most of them have a wonderful hand.
