The tree skirt is BEAUTIFUL!!

Laurie

I'm guessing the elastic band might demarcate itself visually on the outside. Will it show? Are you wearing above the knee garments? I'd probably do the elastic.

Kim

Wow! A pet raccoon that you didn't even ask for! Glad you got the first one, and glad it didn't turn out to be a possum.

Tree skirt looks wonderful. That's the only thing I don't have in my Christmas box, and every year I talk about getting one, and every year I use the same old tired sheet because I can't find a tree skirt. *sigh* Maybe after we move this Christmas I can get down to knitting one too.

Hey I caught some raccoons. I named them Rocky and Raquel. We let them lose to "Born Free." Take a look at the pictures on my blog.

Oh man, I just read your raccoon story. We have them in the neighborhood, and we also have a cat door. No raccoons inside yet, at least that I know of. Great, now there's something else for me to obsess about. One of my cats is in and out all the time, and he's trashed three different screen doors digging his way out, so we put in the door.

Your tree skirt is so beautiful. You're living my dream.
I'm hosting a knitalong for the book. Care to join?

And where did you find the Haneke yarn for the over the knee socks? Thanks.

lindsey

i was also wondering where you found the haneke yarn... i live in SC so i could easily get yarn from charlotte (or order it online for that matter.) your knitting is beautiful. i actually found your blog while looking for someone knitting the over-the-knee stockings. i would also be interested in how much yarn the final product took... it sounds as if you may not need the four skeins? thanks!
