First of all, thanks for the comments on my pooling scarf! I really love it, and can hardly wait for cooler weather to show it off. I know that if I can make it work, andyone can.
Yesterday was an exhausting day. I did get further along on my yard work, but a little rain would help a lot to soften up the ground and get all the weeds out more easily. The remainder of the day was filled with errands, and I didn't get to knit until after dinner.
What did I do? Well, I worked on my eyelet cardi, but won't show any pictures of it just yet. Firstly because it's a black sweater, and doesn't photograph very well. Second, it's just a big piece of stockinette right now, and not real interesting to look at anyway. I'm afraid i'm going to have to redo one of the sleeves. I don't know why, but I've had some major gauge issues with it. The two sleeves are obviously knit at different gauge. I'm gonna keep the one that most closely matches the body of the sweater (which currently is at the correct gauge).
I also swatched for Klaralund, in my Silk Garden 39. It's a very dark and moody shade, I hope it's a good choice for this sweater. I think I will ultimately like it, and I had been thinking I would be able to wear it with jeans and black pants. I've been really enticed by pictures of 84 all knit up though, I think it's fabulous. Anyway, my swatch hit right on gauge on my Clover US 8 bamboo needles. I think for the first time ever I even got the right row gauge. Yippee!
