February 28, 2005

Hope that snow is on it's way up to Leesburg today - schools all over northern VA are closed even though there is NOTHING on the ground yet.

Leaf cardi looks great!

Wow, that sounds like quite a wonderful day!

The leaf cardi is coming along nicely. :)

Sounds like you had a great excursion with your mom. Leaf cardi is looking good, and yay snow!

Hi Barbara! I live here in Asheville. I can tell you about a couple other stores to hit if you are ever back in the area. I know what you mean about Yarn Paradise. I did find my Noro for my Klaralund but too much Debbie Bliss and wayyyyy tooooo muchhhhh novelty yarn. I ,for one am ready for that knit phase to be over with. I know of a shop not too far from Yarn Paradise with a nice selection, helpful staff and I special ordered some Classic Elite Lush-- gonna try the cardie your working on ( in pink , my favorite color). The yarn arrived very quickly and they wound it for me.
Have a Nice Day!

I have loved that Leaf Cardi for so long, I can't wait to see yours finished. I have a sweater out of the yarn, it is very warm. Word of warning, it sheds like the dickens. Mine is in a dark blue and leaves signs of itself everywhere. I love it none the less.

1) I love the leaf cardi. Wowie.
2) Woman you knit so fast!
3) My parents are moving to Asheville THIS SUMMER! Maybe I could meet you there sometime for yarn shopping!!!??? Email me...

Yarn shopping is a great bonding activity for any and everyone. I sometimes like to take that time to just bond with the yarn :)

Leaf is GORGEOUS, but that snow looks dang cold!
