Here's the Danette Taylor sock yarn I bought last Thursday, in the mint-mocha colorway:
And here are the cookies I made last Sunday for a cookie swap, in a completely spur of the moment decision:
And I didn't even see the connection until last night when I sat down with a cookie to work on my socks a little...
I was in the lys one time and happened to pick up a bunch of turqoiusey yarn for completely unrelated projects and when I noticed it and mentioned it, the clerk mentioned that lots of times people end up buying the same color that they're wearing. Strange stuff...

That's true. A lot of times if I'm wearing a color I really like, that's the same color I look for in yarn. The color connection between the socks and the cookies is awesome though. Do you have a recipe you can share for the cookies? They look yummy!

Yum, on both counts! Did you get the yarn locally, as I seem to recall she's in Charlotte too?

The subconscious works in strange ways. One can only bow to the inevitable.

Lets see...you must've eaten the yarn and knit the cookies into socks by now...
